hier schnell die heißesten Nüsse frisch aus dem unwahrscheinlichen Universum der Heart of Code, bevor wir uns wieder gut gelaunt gen Sommersonne stürzen:
Das fliegende Hacksenzimmer Ab Juli bieten wir kostenlose Programmierworkshops für Mädels zwischen 14 und 18 an. Falls ihr zielgruppenrelevante Kontakte in die Szene habt (Freundinnen, Cousinen, Schwestern, Töchter der Chefin, Patenkinder, krasse Bitches die immer auf der Treppe vor eurem Haus abhängen, Nachhilfeschülerinnen etc.) oder Szene Insider kennt (LehrerInnen, SozialpädagogInnen, EisverkäuferInnen), reicht das gerne weiter.
Hier findet ihr Infos zum ersten Workshop am 23.7. Im Laufe des Sommers behandeln wir außerdem die Themen Verschlüsselung, Hardware & Löten und Programmiereinstieg. Alle weiteren Termine finden sich unter: https://heartofcode.org/hacksenzimmer.
Für die Mädchenworkshops sind wir noch auf der Suche nach Frauen, die Lust hätten, ihren Job in der IT kurz in einem Lightning Talk (5-10 min) vorzustellen, um den Mädels mal ein paar der crazy & cool Opportunities da draußen zu zeigen.
Datenvisualisierung Jetzt neu und in Farbe, die Heart Of Code Datavis Lerngruppe: die Visel. Wir treffen uns donnerstags (yes, weekly) um 17:30h im #Damensalon und lernen gemeinsam den Umgang mit R, Python und D3. Es sind keine Tutorinnen vor Ort, DIY ist angesagt - Beginners welcome! HackDays Ab Juli gibt es endlich wieder HackDays! Abhängen und Coden! Ob Rails Tutorial oder Datamining (zB. zur Resozialisierung sexistischer AIs), Raspberry Rangeln oder eine Homepage für euren Calvin & Hobbes Fanclub schmieden: bringt vorbei, womit ihr euch beschäftigt. Tauscht euch aus, kollaboriert, lernt Neues und voneinander. No pressure, muito Kuchen! Jeden zweiten Sonntag im Monat. Next up 10.07.
In der Pipeline Ein Node Einsteigerworkshop mit den netten Menschen der NodeSchool Berlin, sowie ein regelmäßiger Open Source Stammtisch bei dem spannende Projekte vorgestellt werden, und interessierte Entwicklerinnen aller Skill Level sich einklinken können.
Klassenfahrt Vom 12.-14. August planen wir einen Wochenendausflug zum Paralelní Polis, Hackspace und Institut für Cryptoanarchy in Prag. Wer sich anschließen möchte melde sich unter heart@heartofcode.org

The Flying Hackroom (this is a german childrens book analogy, never mind ;) ) Starting in July we offer free programming workshops for girls between 14 and 18. If you have contacts within the scene (friends, cousins, sisters, your boss’s daughter, those cool biatches always hanging out on the stairs to your front door, girls you tutor, godchildren, etc.) or are in contact with covert-op agents (teachers, ice cream vendors, social workers) please get in touch.

Datavisualization Let me present, now new and in technicolour, the Heart Of Code Datavis study-group: the Visels. HackDays Starting in July we will finally return to offering regular hackdays! Hang out and Code! Be it a Rails tutorial or Datamining, Raspberry wrestling or building a website for your barbershop quartet: bring whatever it is you’re working on and come join us. Let’s exchange ideas, collaborate and learn from each other. No pressure, muito cake! Every second sunday of the month. Next up: 10.07.
In the pipeline We are planning a beginners’ workshop for Node in collaboration with the lovely people from NodeSchool Berlin, as well as a regular Open Source meet-up to present exciting projects looking for enthusiastic developers of all skill levels to contribute.
