Ab Mai treffen wir uns jeden Donnerstag im xHain, einem neuen Hacker- & MakerSpace in der alten Parteizentrale der Piraten in Friedrichshain. Kommt vorbei zum hacken, hängen, futtern, beschnuppern, orga-orgeln, und abends zum gediegenen Kulturprogramm für die Dame von Hello World. Mob-Coding, Quelltextlesungen, Buchbesprechung, Filme etc. - Wer sein Open Source Projekt oder Lieblingsbuch vorstellen möchte, etwas auf seinerihrer singenden Säge zum besten geben, oder trashige Hacker-Filme aus den 80ern empfehlen kann, immer hier entlang: https://pad.okfn.org/p/damensalon_kulturprogramm .

Crowdfunding!
Falls das mit dem Schnappsverkauf (wider akribischer Kalkulationen) doch nicht für zwei Jahre Hackspace Funding reicht, probieren wir es mal mit Crowdfunding. Wir haben ein knackiges Konzept ausgearbeitet, und bräuchten noch etwas Unterstützung in der Umsetzung. Wenn ihr schnittige Filmdreherinnen seid, euch anmutige Animation ausdenken wollt, regelmäßig schicke Grafiken in den Ether haut, oder einfach Bock auf nette Kampagnenarbeit habt, sagt bescheid.

Terminlichkeiten!
Nächste Woche sind wir auf der re:publica mit Schirm, Charme und Melone. Äh.. nee… Talks (Marie und Fiona), Stand (spontan besetzte Ecke) und MeetUp (Mi. 13h)! So hieß das.
Gleiches gilt für den Open Tech Summit am 5.5. da gibts auch noch einiges an Freikarten für HeartOfJodlerinnen, wer mag melde sich unter code@heartofcode.org, und betreut im Idealfall auch mal n Stündchen den Stand.
Am 10.5. gibts ne Nachtwanderung durchs Darkweb (TorTalk),
am 15.5. wieder nen lovely HackDay von und mit uns allen, und
am 21.5. (wahrscheinlich) den Hardware Workshop mit Malwine von ClosureBridge.
Am 9.6. trifft sich die Sektion dontfeedthegoogle zum ersten mal im Damensalon. Offenes treffen, komme wer wolle.
Puh! Bestimmt wieder die Hälfte vergessen. Ihr seht es geht hochhausheiß her im HOC Universum. Wir freuen uns supersehr auf nen geilen Sommer mit euch, viele volle Damensalons, viel HackMäck, viel Glitzer, viel Tüfteln und vieleviele Lines of Coke, äh Code, Code!

“Für die Informatica Feminale vom 8. bis 26. August 2016 in der Universität Bremen suchen wir noch Dozentinnen für folgende Themen:

Einführung in Python (Kurssprache soll Deutsch sein, Umfang 2 bis 2,5 Tage oder als 5-tägiges Projekt)

Update zu Java8 (Gern z.B. als Vergleich zu Java6 und mit einem Praxisteil; Umfang 2 bis 2,5 Tage oder als 5-tägiges Projekt Kurssprache Deutsch oder Englisch)

“Am 21.7. findet ein kleines Symposium an der FU Berlin am Fachbereich Physik & Informatik für junge Mädchen statt, ab der 7. Klasse. Mehr Info hier: http://www.fu-berlin.de/sites/mintoring/2016_symposium/index.html
Für das Symposium wird noch eine Speakerin gesucht, die in 20 Minuten erzählen mag, wo eins mit Informatik (oder informatischer Ausbildung) hinkommen kann, also ein bisschen vom Beruf erzählen. Das müssen keine 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung sein, aber ein bisschen Praxiserfahrung, über die ein bisschen was erzählt werden kann. Dafür gibt es auch ein kleines Budget für ein Honorar. Starting in May, we’ll meet in a new Hacker & MakerSpace in xHain every Thursday. located in the former party headquarter of the Pirate Party’s Berlin chapter. Come and join us for some hacking, hanging out, for food, for getting to know each other, for organizing or for various types of evening entertainment for the sophisticated lady of the Hello-World (Mob-Coding, Source Code Readings, book reviews, movies etc. - if you have a book, a trashy 80’s Hacker flick or an open source project you would like to present, please follow me to: https://pad.okfn.org/p/damensalon_kulturprogramm).

Crowdfunding!
Just in case the selling of Schnapps does not generate the means necessary to pay for two years of Hackspace funding (despite our meticulous calculations), we decided to go for Crowdfunding as a plan B. We have come up with a fresh concept, but could still do with your support setting it all up. To all you film directresses, animatrixes and graphics pros out there, or really just anyone who is up for some campaign-related fun: Please get in touch hello@heartofcode.org.
Dates!
Meet us at re:publica next week, where Marie and Fiona will be giving talks, we’ll be running a booth or, rather, a spontaneously occupied corner, and there’ll be a MeetUp on Wednesday at 1pm.
We’ll also have a talk, booth and meetup at the Open Tech Summit on the 5th of May, for which we have a number of free tickets. So, any HeartOfCoders who would like to attend, please let us know and ideally take care of our booth for a while: code@heartofcode.org
On the 10th of May there’ll be a night walk through the Darkweb (TorTalk, german),
on the 15th of May we have another lovely HackDay, from and with all of us, lined up,
and on n the 21st of May there will (most likely, details still tbc) be a Hardware Workshop with Malwine from ClosureBridge.
On the 9th of June the section dontfeedthegoogle will have their first meeting at Damensalon. It’s an open meeting, so feel free to come along.
Whoa, we probably forgot a bunch, again. As you can see there’s a lot going on in the HOC universe. We look forward to a fantastic summer, many awesome Damensalons, plenty of Hackmalarkey, lots of glitter, tinkering and lines of coke, erm, code, code! - with all of you!
